Yes, my major high-tech company of an employer laid off 1400 people today, but I was not among them. I'm told it helps that the Non-Stop Glamor of the Online Services Business® is relatively lucrative. As Nibs puts it, people still want their spam blocked.

ETA: I've been there once, and there aren't many people I'd wish it on.
