sistawendy: me in my Suffragette costume going "Eek!" (eek)
Another four-day gap between posts? I may have to call my shrink about this. The sad fact is, though, that I haven't had that much that was post-worthy. Except this:
My son is going to L.A. tomorrow morning with a group of other eighth graders from his synagogue and another one in the area. They're going to the Museum o' Tolerance, Beit T'Shuvah, etc. What jumped out at me, though, was Tuesday night at the other synagogue, namely Temple de Hirsch Sinai in Bellevue. Before the nitty gritty meetings of parents and kids, they fed us in the social hall as synagogues do. There were lots of big round tables, as synagogue social halls tend to have. My son sat three seats away from me at an otherwise empty table for ten until I up and told him to move over.

My Aspie son? Worried what other kids he knows would think of him because of me? So it would seem. Le sigh.
Here's where I mooch from all my Burner friends.

  1. Does anybody need a ride down? More to the point, would any of you like a ride down in my luxurious 2006 Prius (built before Toyota lost its mind!) while splitting the cost of gas? I'm planning on camping at Summer Lake, OR on the way down & back.
  2. Does anybody have space on a bike rack or equivalent going down? I have a bike and a car, but no rack.
  3. Got a few feet of EL wire to spare? I have a battery pack, but my wire is trashed.

In what way is the wire trashed? I've got far more experience than I wish I did at soldering the damned stuff...

Also, I have a bike rack sitting unused in the garage. Made for a car with a trunk, though, so it might not work with a Prius.

If [livejournal.com profile] gfish's rack doesn't work, I have one as well if you want to borrow it.

I bent the wire too tightly around things in several places. The brightness fades more or less linearly along its entire length.

As for the bike rack, I'm game to try it out. When and where is a good time? (Mail or text me if you like.)

Pretty much any evening here at the Agora. Or I could throw it in the car and we meet up for lunch, since I'm already on the eastside every weekday.

I'll swing by the Agora next week.

Too bad I can't find the address. Could you please mail it to me and this time I'll archive it?

What I wouldn't have given to have had a rideshare in some years past!

I'll be volunteering this year again, however, & so will be going down early. Otherwise I would be all over this. :)

I'll keep my ear out for someone local who needs this situation.
