why I like spending time with m'boy

I went to ravenmimura's art show down in Georgetown, and I brought m'boy, natch, in yet another attempt to grow some synapses in him. Afterward we ate at the rather nifty Calamity Jane's across the street Yay red beens, greens, and johnny cakes*, but not so much yay to the art on the walls, much of which featured humanoid faces with exaggerated eyes and smiles. He found them so disturbing he put his hands around his eyes like blinders.

At one point while we were eating I threatened to tell his future girlfriends about some of the cuter moments from his early childhood, and he responded with, "Oh yeah? Well, I'll tell them you're Goth!"


*Cornbread meets pancakes. How can you not?

As I was driving back from my first real (i.e. four-hour) zappy session since Thanksgiving, another hybrid with a Pride sticker passed me. I leapfrogged it, eventually, and exchanged smiles with the cute woman driving it. Flirtation at a mile a minute. Yeah, I remember her plate number. Happiness.
