Eye exam at a place that isn't in network for my insurance, which they told me at the last minute after I'd taken the bus from work, but is within an easy walk of my lake place. It had been nearly three years (Hey, at least I'll be up to date for the drive to the playa.) so I'd forgotten what a pain in the ass being functionally blind is.
But that's just as well, because I had this weird, low-impact crud going on involving a sore throat. Pho with a generous spiral of Sriracha really did help; I live within walking distance of Than Brothers #1. (Phinney kicks so much walkable butt.) I really wanted to be social, but I couldn't in good conscience have been around anybody - except my optometrist, apparently.
The plan for the weekend? Kirkland. Imminent Ex is in Portland - I think it's work related - and I'll be cracking the whip over m'boy.
