Ah-OO-gah! Nun resurfaces.

No blue funk or anything; it just took me this long to make up the sleep from Norwescon. That might have happened sooner if I hadn't pursued MBSOs quite so assiduously. I'm feeling OK, not least because the weather here is suddenly perfect.

Work? Frustrating. One of my co-workers described Java as a "bondage language". I told my boss that's an insult to bondage enthusiasts, not that I'd know a lot about that. Ahem.

But! Plans:

1. Guerilla Queer Bar - There's a nationwide organization called The Welcoming Committee that does organized, coed queer takeovers of straight bars. I've been aware of them for months but I haven't gone to any of their events because something always came up. Tonight's the night. I hope it isn't wall-to-wall twinks. I'll report back here, of course.
2. Saturday - The new 520 bridge opens. Seeing as how a) I'll probably only get to go to a floating bridge opening once in my lifetime, b) I feel as if I've paid for a good chunk of the damn thing myself, c) in a few weeks my ex & son will move and I won't need it, and d) the weather should be perfect for a walk across the lake, I have to do this with my son.
3. A date with the Tickler next weekend. She wants to follow Dan Savage's advice, so I must snack beforehand.
4. Much Younger Woman wants to hike somewhere with a vertical, she says. Okey doke, as long as I can do it in shoes I currently own. Being alone in a romantic outdoor setting with a freaky young thing? Hell yes!

And so you shall! Usually I'm in a fast-moving car, and often driving, but on Saturday we shall walk! And we can take pictures from the bridge; I could do that in the past when they opened the draw span on the old bridge, but the new bridge doesn't have a draw span. I better snap while I can!

I'm surprised that Guerilla Queer Bar is still around. randomdreams and I used to go like 12 years ago except for one night, at Casa Bonita, he was dressed the wrong side of a glory hole and we were the ONLY people to show up for Guerilla Queer Bar!!
So we stopped going.

I only found out about them in the last year or two, which would be remarkable if it were the same organization. The GQB that I know of seems pretty well organized.
