I went to the Monkey Loft last night last night for Mark Farina & Doc Martin, both of whom I love. I got there way early because I left it too long to get an advance ticket. My patience and numb toes were rewarded, though: the Monkey Loft now has a downstairs room with sweet sound (Funktion1, if you care), vaporizing a complaint of mine from the last time I saw Farina at the Monkey Loft. And that was the least typical set I've ever heard him do, so props to him for keeping it fresh. Booty duly shaken. My only gripe was that the headliners didn't come on until about 0145, which was even a little earlier than scheduled and later than most shows. I just can't make it much past 0200 without some serious caffeine abuse, and I wasn't feeling up to it. Those crazy kids were planning on going until at least 0800. Ah, techno people.

I'm proud of myself for deprocrastinating and getting the latest modifications to the Lambert House database done. The director has been informed that I need to deploy, and that we'll need some help from his board member who's the admin to make sure the changes are usable. Any bets on whether he remembers to do that?
