No, no violence involved here. Surgery, as in facial feminization surgery. I had a consult this afternoon with the snazzily dressed and almost suspiciously friendly Dr. Faceknife in (Where else?) Bellevue. As I'd dreaded, he suggested more work than I was really comfortable with, like, ever. Leave my lips alone, dude. I feel a tiny bit proud of myself for saying no, or at least not anytime soon.
As it happened, my budget really only allows for one procedure this year anyway: chin reduction. It might have been nice to get something done about my brows and my hairline, but that isn't happening this year, and depending on how it goes, maybe never.
