I ate an astounding amount of meat & seafood at Korean BBQ with five gay men. I'm pretty sure there are women who dream of such activities, but for me it was mainly about the eats. (It was an education, though, to watch these pillars of the community tease each other about the good-looking young waiter.) Did you know baby octopuses* curl up when you put them on a hot grill? It's pretty weird looking to see your food moving posthumously, and since they don't stay flat for long, they're a little tricky to cook evenly. Cutting their heads off helps, though. And beef tongue, while a little chewy, isn't bad. I skipped the pork belly & jowl, though; I've had a horror of fatty meat since early childhood.
My sisters have blown up my phone again today. Evil Sister has gotten her papers to sign, so surely mine are on the way and Mom has gotten served. I'm really not looking forward to the next time I talk to her. Good Sister is hoping she doesn't have to fly halfway down the east coast for a fifteen-minute court hearing in a few weeks; I can relate. Shit, fan, plooey.
*Doci insists that's "octopodes", but Chrome's spell check doesn't know it. I miss her.
