Postscript: politics on Halloween

The Opulent Temple Halloween party two weekends ago happened to be in a rental space that had big TVs over the bar. One of them was playing an attack ad against Dino Rossi, who's running for Congress in Washington's 8th district. My son canvasses for his opponent, Dr. Kim Schrier. I felt like cheering, and I told a young lady standing next to me. I had to explain to her who Rossi & Shrier are. "I don't follow politics," she said.

"Now would be a good time," I replied with zero chill. I was dressed as the Angel of Death.
