My colonoscopy from this morning came back clean. Ten more years of not having to drink polyethylene glycol! No more living on the toilet from 1630 to 1930 one day and then 0400 to 0700 the next! This is not my preferred way to lose four pounds, either.

Sometime last month I quietly made a decision to get my medical, sartorial, and home furnishing act together. I have, in chronological order:
- Replaced that ugly, creaky, inaccessible bed frame - and repaired the damage I did in the process.
- Gotten a mammogram - negative.
- Gotten a colonoscopy - negative.
- Bought a replacement for my much-loved trench coat that's at least eight years old and looking much the worse for wear. It's in transit.
- Bought a replacement for my everyday bag. Same story: the old one is a beautifully designed and made '90s Coach bag, but it bears the scars of bicycling and Burning Man. Yes, I got another Coach bag. No, I don't care if you don't like that. Also in transit.
- Started unsubbing from a ton of email lists.
