I ran out of some of the makings for Lonely Ingredient Beans last weekend, so I used that as an excuse to invite the Proprietress to Uwajimaya. I am, occasionally, a cheap date. Happiness.

Speaking of Uwajimaya, that's the second time this year I've spotted another trans woman in the store. I would find it as surprising as sunrise to learn that trans women are disproportionately weeaboos - I know for a fact that anime is huge in the trans community, especially the younger part of it - but hey, I was just there for the gochujang. And doenjang. And a lovely lady who I can talk to about SEAF in a food court.

Yeah, I'm grinnin' like a fool.

I miss having a good Asian grocery store a convenient bus ride away. :( We've got a largish H-Mart, but parking is shite, and it's about 40 minutes' away.
