It rained this morning, so in stead of an unpleasant, bike-damaging ride I went grocery shopping at the store four blocks from my place. Here it is in bullet points:
ETA: PCC's web site also doesn't say that specific hours are reserved for the most vulnerable. That's a little odd.
- I did social distance tango with customers and staff all doing their best within the confines of a store that isn't exactly huge.
- I was almost the youngest customer there. I didn't see any signs saying that 0730 was within the time reserved for older or immunocompromised people, but I might have missed something. Arg.
- PCC, the co-op founded by hippies in 1953, is not allowing reusable containers or bags. I wish I'd known that before I brought both. I've since learned that every store in at least the city is doing the same thing.
- When I got home, I disinfected everything that wasn't a fresh vegetable with bleach diluted 9:1.
