sistawendy: a cartoon of me in club clothes (dolly)
Work's been kicking my butt so far this month, but I played hooky last night. Boy, am I glad I did. Got much dance on, partly because [livejournal.com profile] staxxy commanded it (Kim says yeaux, by the way), and partly because I indulged my raver tendencies at the Re-Bar. That's a long walk from 12th & Pike, folks, especially in fishnets, but hey, I needed the exercise, and sometimes partying takes effort.

For the record, in case you were wondering: I don't femme up to get attention from drunken frat-looking types. One of them on Pine street took about fifty yards to get the hint. Thank Bob the Hill is still busy at 12:30.

Re: the Re-bar, I'd love to get a group of PiBs (People in Black) together and invade a house night sometime because a) we dress better and b) we'll dance to anything anyway.

The fambly picked thirty-seven (37) pounds of plums yesterday -- that's over four gallons -- from a friend's tree, and Her Nibs is now halfway through making them into jam. She's a freak, but in a good way.

I'd be game for the Rebar some time. Haven't been there in ages, and I've been really trying to get out to more nights and different clubs. :)

I, too, have certain raver tendencies. Crows are related to ravers. Or was that "ravens?" Whatever. I like psytrance, EBM, house, trip*hop, etc., in the right setting. Good lights? Good floor? Good ceiling? Let's do this. I don't think I've ever danced at the Re-Bar - I've been there a few times, just never danced. It would be fun to check it out.

I hoped you'd respond to this. :D The Re-Bar does have a good dance floor. I'll keep my eyes peeled for the right music at the right time and let people know.

I'd be up for this. I've never been there at all, so it would be a whole new experience.

But right now I'm reeling at the thought of 37 pounds of plums. Good lord.

Re: Re-bar, Psych!

Her Nibs corrects me: that's closer to five gallons of plums than four, and it's cooking down to about two gallons of jam. Some goes to our friend with the plum tree, some goes to us, and I hope she's got plans for the rest of it because my kitchen counters are now littered with filled mason jars. It is to laugh.

I definitely hadn't forgotten. I was going to post after Her Nibs & I got our date night planned for earlier that evening so I'd know what time.
