  1. Rubbing my face on the ears of a Labrador retriever.
  2. Singing do-wop in the shower. Loudly.
  3. Lundberg sesame & shoyu rice cakes.
  4. Squishing my boy to make him laugh.*
  5. Finishing a sewing project.

*It isn't unheard-of for people with Asperger's to like a lot of pressure on their trunks. The Wendling likes me to lie down on top of him or pick him up by the stomach. (Yes, I know the latter is dangerous.) See Temple Grandin and her "squeeze machine".

I actually have seen a news special about the "Squeeze machine" and the studies that have gone with it. I find it fascinating.

Have you seen an occupational therapist at all? We just got some intersting things for my second (9yo). He loves the added pressure.

They "made him a hot dog" at his last appointment. He was told to lie down in this bun shaped heavy blanket, they put heavy "ketchup and mustard" on him (like the draft dodgers that are full of sand to keep cold air out, but longer and wider) and rolled him up in the bun. He LOVED it.

Oh yes. The Wendling went to an OT for a few years when he was younger. They didn't stim him much, but I think it improved his coordination quite a bit.
