Nov. 26th, 2004 12:00 amHer Nibs once again cooked a righteous dinner for four (including a cow orker of mine), and I washed some righteous dishes afterwards. This year's most unusual dish: Brussels sprouts with bacon & toasted hazel nuts. I'm the only one of us who likes Brussels sprouts, so I told the Nibbal Unit she didn't have to make them on my account, but apparently I don't understand foodie psychology. Thumbs up also to: parsnips & pears with lemon juice, and the mystery mashed potatoes.
Don De Dieu is mighty tasty brew, and being Canadian it packs a buzz.
Good Thanksgiving movie: Twightlight Samurai. Really. (We went a little bat guano at Scarecrow Video yesterday.) Basically, can a down-on-his-luck samurai in turbulent 1860s Japan make ends meet, find love, and raise his daughters before he either gets killed or the world changes out from under him? It's all about what matters.
The Wendling has watched way too much TV today. I refuse to feel guilty.
