Evil Sister & I have the papers from the lawyer whom Good Sister has retained, but contrary to what ES & I expected, there's nothing for us to sign. Our names are on those documents, natch, as potential backup guardians. Also, Mom is acting like everything's normal; ES suspects that her envelope is sitting unopened in a pile of junk from Publisher's Clearing House. The court-appointed lawyer hasn't seen Mom yet, but is supposed to Any Day Now®. I hope they get paid enough to handle Mom's likely addled freakout.

Protean boobs?!
Apr. 18th, 2018 01:04 pmI've noticed several times that my bra fits differently, and typically better, at the end of the day than it does at the beginning. I've been told many times that breasts are changeable creatures - mine are still growing after eight years on the girl 'roids - but over a span of twelve hours or so?
Breast owners, is this real or what? And if so, what's going on?

Apr. 18th, 2018 08:41 pmI just threw random, lonely ingredients into a pot in the hopes that the results would be edible. They exceeded expectations, so it's recipe time:
Lonely Ingredient Black Beans
(All measurements are, uh, approximate.)
2 cups dried black beans
4 cups water
1 clove garlic, chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp red miso
2 tbsp gochujang, i.e. Korean red chile paste
Soak the beans all day. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. (Miso & gochujang don't really want to dissolve.) Cook over medium heat until the beans aren't crunchy anymore. Snarf!
Don't tell J of J&R fame. Having grown up partly in Brazil, she has definite opinions about how black beans are properly done, namely feijoada, which I've never tried to make or even eaten.

trystbat: while the beans were cooking I finished a bum roll. I think I've committed to this year's Halloween costume.
