sistawendy: me in the Mercury's alley with the wind catching my hair (smoldering windblown Merc alley)
If ever there were any such thing as graver music, I heard it last night: the openers were pretty close to EBM. Indeed, I saw [livejournal.com profile] devilpuppy and [livejournal.com profile] gravesme there and said yeau. Sure, I danced, but to tell you the truth I would have preferred deep house.

I only got to catch the first ten minutes of Modeselektor, but those ten minutes weren't standard issue. Imagine sped-up, teched-up reggae. Not bad.

It's hard not to dance like a hippie when you're wearing stilts.

Friendly folks. I wish I could have stuck around longer, but I don't ask for a later curfew unless I'm really looking forward to something, maybe a handful of times a year.

My work here is done. Actually, I listen to some of their bits, too, since I couldn't stay to hear them live.

That is, I should listen to some of their bits.

Yeah, you should. I'm seriously grateful, though... I'm pretty much running the ship by myself from midnight until 7am, and music is a good background noise while I work.
