1. Pressure washers will work, sort of, even when turned off because they use the pressure in your pipes.
   
2. Pressure washers work much better when turned on.
   
3. One should pressure wash aggregate walkways in shady areas more often than once every six years.

I saw one at Costco today, but since I leave that sort of thing to apartment management, I didn't note the price.
