astronomy goodness; scavenging leather

European astronomers find a terrestrial planet in its star's habitable zone. Hot damn! I expected this next year or maybe the year after that from the Corot or Kepler probes, but I'll take sooner.

I'm taking apart my old Docs. The soles & uppers are trashed, but I can't bear to waste all that good shaft leather. Yeah, I'm thinking corset. Surprising as the sunrise, innit?
