Erected a tent for the first time in my life in my back yard with "help" only from the Wendling. My dentist came through with all the parts, my 1-lb. rubber mallet did indeed get ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gfish's fabulous tent stakes into the ground (modulo rocks), and my air mattress just barely fits. Shelter? Check.
Went to a party thatxaotica said would be a good place to wiggle. She wasn't kidding; it was packed to the visible rafters and none too well ventilated. Good thing I grew up in a steam bath. It was another neato space: an artist's residence completely invisible from any street, with lots of what I can only describe as psychedelic art on the walls. Danced some, educated about goths and corsets some. Music: some good (Michael Manahan), some less so. Food: tasty.

oh, and if youre NOT on tribe.net already, there are a number of burner tribes there that gives a fuckton of advice so at least check out the reads. join if you want to chime in. just do a search for burner, burning, burning man, etc.
