playing tourist in my own town

Took sister L and family to Vashon Island yesterday. We drove through some pretty, pretty country on the way to the (closed) Point Robinson lighthouse. Good times. I mean, you can't not take visitors on a ferry if you have the time, can you?

Today, rain put the kibosh on a proposed volcano expedition. Aw. Thank goodness the kids are still the right age for the Science Center.

Minor Burning Man craziness: I just found out I'll be leaving the playa Sunday morning, not Saturday night. Yeah, Sunday makes much more sense, but like the noob I am I'd just assumed that my earlier info was right. If I can't shift my hotel reservation, I'll Just Have To Cope.
