Spent nearly three hours packing yesterday, and four hours making two round trips to Seattle to drop off stuff in various trucks and trailers. I feel like two different kinds of weasel because a) I only stayed half an hour to help the Space Virgins load, and b) I've been doing things like loading my car over lunch and taking off early tonight instead of working, and we're trying to get a release ready before I go. Ah well, I can make things up to mein Unterboss tomorrow and to the Virgins on the playa. It didn't help that I couldn't sleep worth jack last night. I feel like I've been shot out of a cannon.
Nibs really has been splendid throughout this last-minute frenzy, doing housework that she usually doesn't do and trying to help me out. Yeah, she told me to tell you that, but that doesn't make it any less true. What makes it even more remarkable is that she feels like butt because her first infusion (They come in pairs every six months.), which she had last week, was delayed by a paperwork snafu. She seems to have prepared for my absence. I hope m'boy doesn't freak out.
