Did you know that Diet Coke® really can go bad? I didn't until I tried one of a half rack that Her Nibs' stepmother gave us, and it was nearly flavorless. The pull date on the bottom was 4/00. That woman's such a pack rat.

I missed [livejournal.com profile] aaminahlefae's dance gig, but at least I got to say yeaux to people. It was for a good cause: the Wendling had a cold and I couldn't take him out as I had planned.

The whole famn damily went to EMP. The Wendling really dug the history of guitars exhibit this time, and we finally got around to playing with the instruments upstairs.

I went to [livejournal.com profile] datavore's birthday party last night and had a wonderful time, especially gossiping with [livejournal.com profile] vixyish. Teehee! I behaved myself much better than the last time I was there, so yay me. I brought and drank too much snobby beer. I got snarked at for coming home half an hour late. I hate stuffing my phone in my corset and I figured only partly correctly that somebody would hear my phone where it was.

When we were removing stuff from my maternal grandparents' house we found a number of boxes of cereal that had pull dates in the '70's, not to mention the tomato soup that had been in the refrigerator behind the huge pile of garbage bags that hadn't been moved in fifteen years.

Thanks for making the effort to come down there, park and deal with the crowd and all. I'll keep you updated when we start performing on a regular basis again. We're already waiting to see about some pretty big shows but may not know for another month or two anyway.

Does EMP still cost something like $26 admission? I'd like to go, but don't know if I could stomache the price I'd heard of.

We paid $17 per adult. Kids under 7 are free. I hear you about the price, but I think it's pretty good as museums go.

Oh: I thought the (temporary) disco exhibit was a riot. I want some of those clothes, and the art and music will make you gape and guffaw. Two words: Crisco Disco.

haha! Well, $17 is easier to stomache than $26, thanks for the info!

Ah: emplive.org says adult tickets are $20. I used my KEXP member discount.
