Yay! (Was: Grrr!)

No posts for the last four days because there have been too many low- to mid-level annoyances.

I don't enjoy being made to pay for others' mistakes.

Happy thotz:

1. Going to get my first-ever pedicure tomorrow night. I'll soon be running around someplace where sandals and open-toed shoes make a lot of sense.
2. I get the old place to myself - well, to myself and Bigpuppy - while Nibs & m'boy go down to Portland this weekend. Um, party? And by party I mean sleep?
3. I'm going to Florida a week from today. This is guaranteed to be the most interesting family visit of my entire life, and it may be the most fun.
4. Mom got the two of us opera tickets and asked me to bring something nice to wear there. Shyeah!
5. I'll be wearing the same thing to the little* coming-out party she's throwing for me. That bears repeating: My mother. Is throwing. A coming-out party for me.
6. Brunette Sister is flying down from DC to see me.
7. I'll be using jet lag as a flimsy pretext to see fizzgig_bites late at night.
8. It isn't inconceivable that M, Strawberry Blond Sister's husband, might swing by.

*Mom was going to invite her whole art class, but I persuaded her that some of them might not be ready to meet a lesbian transsexual still giddy from going Full Time. Dead septuagenarians in the house can be terribly inconvenient.

I actually got asked out for this pedicure, so yeah, I'll get my first professional one before I do my own for the first time. It is to laugh.

I'm available most of the day these days with exception of trips to get kid after school. That varies a bit in the afternoon. So, I'm available off and on all day with varying shades of who is with me at any given time.

Has anyone offer to take you to Kananpaha yet? One thing I have noticed is that Gainesville has grown up a bit in the past ten years and you haven't made plans yet that include what I consider cool stuff.

I have to get up ungodly early in the morning but you should make plans to go to University Club. Their website needs updating badly. They used to have techno and drag nights several nights a week. I hope they still have that. It is in the downtown area. Just a warning, we are heading into finals in a few weeks so things might be slower. It is the only gay club in town. There used to be another but it it was just middle aged men and kinda scary. I don't know if it is still around or not. The city mayor goes to UC sometimes.

If you are thinking of going to the performing arts area, call us. The art museum should be opening the Asian wing soon but not yet. They had a great kimono collection recently from pre-WWI but I think it is gone. They usually have an Asian hight lights area but no idea of what they are showing now.

We are always up for butterflies and the natural science museum. I dislike the cattle ranching exhibit they have right now but that's for personal reasons. The natural history and Harn would be a good place to go with your family.

Oh, Gainesville community on LJ is still active and full of cool stuff. There is also some UF groups where nightclubs are discussed. I don't know them well but they are discussed on the Gainesville community.
