Friday: didn't see Total Science because of cost and lack of people to go with. Yes, seeing
aaminahlefae and
coulrophobe at the Merc is always a pleasure, but no Leslie. I also got The Sermon when I got home for smelling too much like alcohol. Mental note: Three Mile Islands are evil.
Saturday: scored respectably at Fritter & Jeri's garage sale. Was bitterly disappointed to have heard I was too early for
prnscmoonbeam et al's clothes only to be told later that they didn't make it. Sweet relief.
Saturday part II: Took Wendling and later Her Nibs to the Bellevue arts fair, and saw an astounding amount of what I consider cool stuff for sale. (See what must be the sickest paintings ever exhibited in Bellevue.) Of course the stuff was priced nowhere near what I was ready to pay, and I missed the jeweler I wanted to see because I didn't know there were booths across 8th St. until it was too late. Having most of the booths in the BellSquare parking garage somehow seemed so... right for Bellevue. And viva Metro for free transportation.
Sunday: Drove back to Copalis Beach. Yes, that place on the coast where we stayed; Her Nibs wanted to go back and she didn't have to twist my arm. Walked on the beach and picnic'd for an hour and a half or so. Made doggy and boy very happy. Had a literally cool walk on the beach in the fog. Drove back. Now, I love road trips and long drives, but doing the I-5 crawl through Oly & Tacoma on the way back was too much even for me. If we do Portland this summer we're taking the train. I shudder to think what Mt. Rainier must be like.
In short, Wendia is a land of many contrasts.
