And to celebrate, here's the long-promised


I experimented with putting the stay cases on the wrong side of the lining and not attaching them to the fashion fabric. I saw something similar on a gorgeous corset from One Wilde Knight. It works fine except that the grommets -- which you can's see -- try to bunch together in back, so I had to sneak in some sew-through boning. Yeah, the busk is too short, but I knew that going in; had three of that length just lying around. The stays are also too short; dunno why.

Last SIFF review: Garden State -- I gave it a four out of five. Everyone in the film seems to be having more fun spoofing the losers and oddballs than they do being life-affirming, but I still think this was the best of the five I saw. I know people like the characters in this flick. Natalie Portman doesn't suck, either. (But good heavens, that girl has funny ears.)
