early morning parenting fail

When I got back from my morning bike ride at 0800, I was surprised to see the Wendling nearly ready to leave. He's usually still in bed when I leave for the bus around 0915.

I asked him why he was leaving so early, and he said it was mainly because he was already awake. He said that I, uh, kept him awake sometime between 0400 and 0600 with loud "fapping". He protested that his mother never hears his own such activities. Well, there are two doors between the two of them at night, but only one between him and me. The Tickler says I'm loud. She finds it amusing; my son doesn't.

Oh dear. Gone are the days when he could sleep through the Second Coming, I guess. Hey, I tried going back to sleep after I woke up around 0330. And I gave myself an estrogen shot as scheduled on Monday night, which means I've been extra horny since.

Ear plugs, white nose generator.

You know, my place is on a major bus route, so the Wendling has complained about that noise as well. I've been using ear plugs ever since I moved there, but despite repeated suggestions my son refuses to use them. He finds them uncomfortable, which surprises me like the sunrise.

White noise is great, and what I generally use since ear plugs aren't a good match for me.

If you have a blue tooth speaker, there are a bunch of apps, so you could try one super easily. (I mean, in his room, for him. But benefiting you.)
