sistawendy: me in a Gorey vamp costume with the back of my hand to my forehead (hand staple forehead)
For the second or third time in the last year, I have what I'm guessing are muscle spasms in my back. They started Sunday morning when I cooked my beans & rice. They've improved since, but they're not gone yet.

I wish I knew what started them. I went on a date and had zappy on Saturday, neither of which are exactly strenuous. My mattress is pretty old and worn out, it's true. Do I have to replace it before I buy a place, which I'd like to do in the next few years? You know, I could take my own advice to [personal profile] bork and rotate it. Sometimes, writing journal entries is helpful all by itself.

Oh, and speaking of dating, Witchy Lady & I are tentatively scheduled for the 15th for our second date. I told her that was perfect because I'm getting my legs made nice & smewth. Ahem. I will not bring a U-Haul. I will not bring a U-Haul. I will not bring a U-Haul.

I haven't had back spasms too often lately. Mine started in junior high with a sucker punch to the ribs, mid-back. By my thirties they were sometimes accompanied by, or replaced by, similar spasms higher or lower.

They became less common when I started my backpacking obses... er... regimen several years ago. Not sure if that is cause, or just coincidence.

Stop looking up locations of U-Haul stores on your phone!!! ;-)
