It's here, and it's fabulous!

At 1830 yesterday evening (?!) I got my corset from Dark Garden delivered. It's beautiful, and it feels fabulous. It seemed a little short from waist to bust, but then I remembered that I tried it on last night without anything underneath. I'll be wearing a skirt under it for the actual event, and I told Autumn that. It's a little dismaying to be reminded of how small my breasts are compared to the rest of me, but Autumn definitely made the most of them. And yes, I sent a selfie in the corset with such accessories as I was thinking of wearing to cupcake_goth for approval.

Things to note:

1. The binding is an iridescent dark blue that might not show up well in the lighting I've got planned for the party. I'll have to arrange one brighter corner of the space.
2. The laces are long ribbons, so I'm going to need a lady's maid with corset-lacing experience to get it to look right on me. Since I need to decorate, etc. before the party and then get dressed I could use a minion anyway. My bartender, the Siberian Siren's partner AJ, is taller than I am and could prove helpful. I need to meet with her anyway.

The timing couldn't be better: I'm meeting with my dressmaker tomorrow about the skirt. Therein hangs a tale: Eyelashes says she lost her work space for the second time in six months, the first time being due to a breakup, so she's passing my business to a friend of hers. Okey doke. If this is the worst hiccup I encounter, I'm still doing pretty well.
