Nibs & I have accidentally discovered a Chinese place we like on the east side, something we've been looking for for quite a while. (Sea Garden, at least in Bellevue, doesn't seem to be what it used to be.) We got dragged there last night by my in-laws, but ended up digging it. Szechuan Chef, 15015 Main, Bellevue. It's in a funky little strip mall and easy to miss from the street.

The food actually tastes like something, something you'd like to eat, and they don't overdo the oil. My picks: the ma po tofu & dry-fried string beans. It's one of these places where 80% of the customers are Chinese.

I never seem to be able to find any good places on this side of the lake that I like to eat at so it's really nice to hear recommendations! Thank you =]
