The Abbey has experienced a 133% population increase now that my sister L and her family have arrived. The big hitch: MyCo is planning a release early next month, and my piece of it is front & center. Tomorrow they're going to the afternoon Mariners game, so I don't feel so bad about working. Nibs suddenly, despite a screwup at her doc's practice, managed to get the Bomb on Friday, so I'll use that as my excuse to take everyone downtown while Nibs is hooked up to her rituxan drip most of the day. Thursday & Monday, well, I haven't taken them off, and I don't plan to. L & co. are being cool about it, but I feel like a weasel.
Meanwhile, Burning Man preparations continue apace. My big triumph: fetching the Space Virgin trash cans yesterday from a West Seattle address that it took me two or three weeks to obtain. I biked home up the hill today with a backpack full of 55-gal. trash bags. But wait: there's all sorts of e-mail dithering about how or whether to get the swamp cooler and its dome to the playa. After five of us spent an afternoon cleaning & repairing the thing, we need to Make It Happen, dammit.
