The new washer came with an instructional videotape, probably because a lot of people in this country aren't used to front loaders. I wasn't planning on watching it, but the Wendling insisted. I expected him to get bored and drift off after a few minutes, but neau, he was riveted for the whole twenty minutes. My kid is even weirder than I am in many respects.

Mmm. New (to me) boooots. They're even comfy. I've had a shoe craving lately, so this was just in time. Thanky, alexiarnps.

Seeing people with hamantaschen and greggers out & about was a hoot. Does anybody besides me think it's a hilarious irony to celebrate Purim to loud, stompy kraut music? Chag sameach!

I've discovered that even if I show up early, drinking any more than my usual amount has its price, to be paid in full the following morning. Bad nun.

Oh: Her Nibs is the queen of utility company rebate checks for front loaders. Go her!

And another oh: the batteries in my mouse died here at home while I was out and Her Nibs was trying to work. Picture me doing tech support via cell phone from outside You Know Where so she could get stuff done with the keyboard. She was very apologetic, but she needn't have been. It was just too funny.

That was one of the most gonzo parenting moments I've had so far. I tried to explain what all the grown-up words like "capacity" meant, but there were too many of them.

By the way, it looks like we're go for Saturday. I might have to go butch (*sigh*) but it should happen.
