The Wendling needed some new sneakers, so I asked him to meet me downtown. I suggested the Nike store just a few blocks away, but he reminded me of Nike's atrocious labor practices. We got sneakers made by a different manufacturer.
My son knows & cares about this stuff. Maybe I haven't completely fucked up as a parent. I think he's more politically aware than I was at his age, which is saying something. In this respect if not others, it's too bad there aren't a lot more men like my son.
Oh: Ex is tired of him lying around her house all the time now that school's out, so he's going to be doing more campaign volunteering for the same east side state rep he did earlier. I pointed out that he doesn't live in that district anymore, but he replied that it's a swing district, so his efforts are much more needed there. ♥!
