Good thing that came in the mail yesterday: that last 1099 I was expecting. So you know what I did last night after dinner: my taxes. Alimony refund, come to mama. Note that I still haven't set up electronic filing, so my guess is that it'll be about six weeks before it arrives. I notified Good Sister. She reiterated that we're unlikely to need it for Mom any time soon.
Good thing that didn't come in the mail yesterday: socks from REI, despite USPS tracking saying it had been delivered. How likely is it that my socks got swiped during a 45-minute window just before noon in the pouring rain? And those socks would probably fit in my mailbox. As I mentioned above, I got mail in my mailbox yesterday.
