Missed the pride parade for third or fourth year in a row. I did promise the Wendling a bus trip to Uwajimaya, which is what we did then. He's apparently not into parades. How weird is that? I'm feeling deprived and weasly at the same time.

As a kid, I did not like parades because everyone was too tall, or the people at the front were mean and wouldn't let a kid see, or people would get grumpy at me and my dad if I sat on his shoulders (and blocked their views), or (worst), the police/marshals were mean about me sitting on the curb.

As an adult, i don't like parades because other people in the audience are mean or dingbats or both, though I now usually don't have issues actually seeing the parade (cuz I'm tall).

Ah, I know. June is just chaos month for me. Too many places at once, too much to do. I'm trying to be smart and get some sleep to make up for all of this. It should be a lot easier next month. It has to be!

I've never been able to go to the pride parade, or rather I guess I've never chosen to go since it's the same weekend generally as my birthday. However, how about we go for sure next year? Can we find someone to look after the Wendling for a day? That doesn't seem like too much to ask. :)

I'm even toying with putting a float -in- the parade - a small but funny slant on a float I want to put in the Fremont parade next year. :)

he does a student film fest at the shoreline arts festival. its totally his baby.

this year we had too many films! last year, we had only like 4 or 5! good progress eh?
